About the EQB by Mercedes-EQ

An electric SUV for the whole family, the EQB SUV combines the refinement of an electric drivetrain with the sophistication and luxury you expect from Mercedes. Closely related to the gas-powered GLB SUV, the EQB offers a futuristic spin on what was already a highly practical and desirable vehicle. Seating for up to 7 in a compact package, a 0-60 time of just 6 seconds, and an electric range of up to 243 miles, the EQB is ready for whatever you’re going to throw at it.

What the Critics Say

The ride quality is excellent, as you’d expect from a luxury vehicle in this price range. The smooth ride and quiet cabin make for a pleasant drive around town and on the highway.

Overall, the EQB would make a good first EV for luxury SUV drivers on the fence about going electric. In our experience, it has a lot in common with the driving character of the gas-powered Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class, which is a good thing.” – Kelley Blue Book

There are five seats across two rows with an optional pop-up third row of seats. Nicely trimmed door panels, soft leather upholstery, and bright metal trim all lend an upscale look to the EQB’s cabin. The EQB, also like other EQ models, also features lovely rose-gold interior accents.” – Car & Driver

Mercedes-EQ EQB SUV Features

Mercedes-EQ EQB SUV Interior

Luxury Experience

More than any other carmaker in the world, Mercedes-EQ seamlessly blends traditional luxury with cutting-edge technology, creating a clear picture of what the future of luxury will look like. Many of the luxury elements in the EQB will be familiar, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and attractive satin aluminum detailing are all familiar luxury features. But the 10.25-inch touchscreen with the MBUX infotainment operating system, voice-activated navigation with the ability to optimize routing to maximize range, and the incredible smoothness of an electric drivetrain might be a new experience for many drivers. Touches like 64-color LED ambient lighting with illuminated vents and an optional backlit dash will convey just how special the EQB is.

Mercedes-EQ EQB SUV Cargo Space

Big Practicality In A Compact Platform

A compact SUV might make sense for city driving, parallel parking, and making the most out of garage space. But that doesn’t mean you don’t need space inside your vehicle. The EQB makes the most of interior space, even giving you the option of a third row of seats. These fold flat, and the second row has a 40/20/40 split configuration. In total, you can get up to 62 cubic feet of cargo space, a huge amount for this segment. There’s a power liftgate to give you access to this cargo space too, and once inside, there are four USB-C charging ports, so everyone can top up their phone on the way.

Mercedes-EQ EQB Rearview Camera

Packed With Technology

Just looking at the exterior LED lighting, the rearview camera that hides behind the star badge when not in use in order to stay clean, or the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system on the interior, and you can tell that a lot of thought went into how to make technology work for the EQB SUV. You’ll get things like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard, as well as Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding, and sophisticated MB Navigation that can pick a route based on a wide range of factors. Options include a head-up display, and augmented video for navigation. For the electric powertrain, intelligent thermal management maximizes range, and Level 3 DC charging is available to give you 80 percent battery replenishment in just about a half an hour.
