About The Mercedes-EQ EQS SUV
The flagship SUV model of the Mercedes-EQ range, the EQS SUV defines what a luxury electric SUV should be. Nappa leather upholstery and standard air suspension make for a supremely comfortable interior and ride, with a level of quietness you might never have experienced in a vehicle before. And as an alternative to the silence, the EQS SUV comes standard with a premium Burmester® 3D Surround Sound system with Dolby Atmos. As the name suggests, the EQS SUV is related to the EQS sedan, but a number of details set it apart, including the optional third row of seats and an off-road mode that adjusts suspension settings and throttle response.

Capable Performance
The EQS SUV comes in two different forms, the EQS 450 and the EQS 580. Both use the same 108.4 kWh battery, but the drivetrains are otherwise different. The EQS 450 comes in rear-wheel drive in base form, but all-wheel drive is available. The electric motor produces 355 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. With the EQS 580 you get a second motor, for a total of 536 horsepower and 633 lb-ft of torque, as well as standard all-wheel drive. Range on the EQS 580 comes in at 285 miles, while the EQS 450’s slightly more conservative use of power gets you 305 miles. Both come with an off-road mode, which can raise the air suspension up to a ground clearance of 9 inches, and tweaks the throttle response to keep you from spinning the tires in mud every time you set off. Even 4-wheel steering is standard.
Luxury Flagship
The largest and most luxurious SUV in the Mercedes-EQ lineup, the EQS SUV features an interior made from only the highest quality materials and the latest in luxury technology. Heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats are bathed in natural light from the panoramic sunroof by day, and the customizable LED ambient lighting by night. Seating can be configured for either 5 or 7, with 5-seat models boasting 31 cubic feet of cargo space behind the 2nd row of seats. An incredible Burmester® 3D Surround Sound system with Dolby Atmos comes standard and provides movie-theater-like sound.
Incredible Technology
Impressive as the electric drivetrain is, it’s only the start of the impressive and cutting-edge technology you’ll find in the EQS SUV. Like the EQS sedan, it is available with the Hyperscreen, a 56-inch screen that spans the entire dash and incorporates the gauge cluster, a huge infotainment screen, and a passenger screen for controlling climate, massage seats, audio, and more. There is a head-up display that can incorporate an optional augmented reality feature that projects street names and arrows over your view through the windshield, all in real time. There is an option for rear-seat touchscreens as well, for those who intend to sit in the spacious back seat. EQ-specific LED lighting adorns the stylish exterior.
